Band Profile

Holding Hands is a fusion of seasoned musicians sharing the same influences and lyrical preference. The band falls under the category "Emo" because of the general theme of the lyrics in their original compositions - Emotional. The lyrics, combined with distorted guitars yielding medium to heavy riffs, up tempo drums and melodic bass lines gives Holding Hands their distinct sound that can only be labeled as Alternative, the distinctive combination of lyrical emotion and musical energy.

History

Holding Hands started out as an "underground" band in Laguna. The founder and band leader, Mario, knew what he wanted - a band that is flexible and open to new sounds and possibilities. At that time, Mario had been a member of countless bands that only led to disbands because of musical indifferences. He formed Holding Hands getting members from former band mates and friends. Holding hands underwent a number of changes in their line-up that almost led the end of the band but today they finally have a choicest combination of members. Mario recruited Paulo to play drums, Paulo then added Mark when they needed a replacement guitar player. Then finally their old bassist left, which led to the addition of Gino, and hence the final and finest line-up to date. They no longer limit their gigs to underground events; they now play anywhere as long as they are able to share their music to appreciative musicians and listeners.
